Per-Capita grants

The Education Department of Western Australia conducts a census of student numbers in all schools twice a year. It is on these census figures that the State Government's general recurrent per-capita grants are paid to each non-government school. The grant is paid in four instalments.

From August 2009, increased auditing of per capita funding applications will be implemented through a Grants Audit Program.
