Annual Reporting
All registered non-university institutions in Western Australia must report annually to the Higher Education Regulation Branch on the progress of the higher education programs being delivered. The annual reporting process provides an avenue for monitoring provider activities during the accreditation/authorisation period and is linked integrally to the reaccreditation process. Annual reporting is also a useful and timely mechanism for providers to:
-
monitor and examine the success of their higher education offerings;
-
identify and propose responses to emerging trends in course development;
-
collect and aggregate useful student data that could assist with marketing;
-
review the efficacy of policies and procedures;
-
test and prove quality assurance systems; and
-
re-evaluate strategic plans, aims and objectives.
A national biennial reporting mechanism is being developed for ease of reporting, particularly for those providers delivering in more than one Australian jurisdiction. This will be implemented towards the end of 2007. |
