Higher education

The Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency (TEQSA) commenced regulatory functions on 29 January 2012.  The Department’s higher education website pages are currently under reconstruction to reflect its changed and ongoing responsibilities in this sector.

All existing WA registered higher education providers which are also trading corporations, and the accredited courses they deliver have been automatically recognised by TEQSA.  Those non self-accrediting providers whose registration was due to expire in 2012 have had their registration period extended for 12 months by TEQSA.

TEQSA has also assumed the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) functions and responsibilities relating to higher education.  This includes assessing registered higher education providers and making recommendations about CRISOS registration, renewal of registration and amendments to scope on CRICOS.

The new National Register of Higher Education can be accessed through the TEQSA website

The WA Register of non self-accrediting Higher Education providers and their accredited courses is now a historical document, provided for information only, through the above link.
